In addition to Dreamteam, we organized a number of other contests during and before Copenhagen Games
In addition to Dreamteam, we organized a number of other contests during and before Copenhagen Games 2013 which gave you a chance to win some more SteelSeries prizes. Now we will announce the recipients of those prizes, so check out if you are one of the lucky ones!
In those six contests - Guess the winner, Guess the winner female, Guess the top fragger, Betting contest, Facebook and Twitter contests - we had thousands of users competing for 3 of each of the following items - SteelSeries Sensei RAW and SteelSeries Siberia v2. Some of you failed miserably, some guessed correctly but didn't get lucky in the draw, and six of you triumphed - but in the end hopefully all of you had fun trying.
We will start off by revealing the winner of our toughest competition - betting. All users started with the same amount of fictional money on our website and were able to bet on all matches of the main tournament at Copenhagen Games.
The goal was to reach the highest amount at the end of the tournament, and while many slipped and failed early on, one user rose above and clinched the first place very convincingly by turning his starting balance of 27,250 into a staggering 3,988,248,534.
"Betting contest" winner:
st3f^ (Betting history) - SteelSeries Sensei [RAW]
Next up is another tough one, "Guess the top fragger", in which we asked you to tell us who will have the most total kills in the main tournament. As a bonus, we stated that if someone guessed the exact number of kills along with the player we will pronounce him the winner without a random draw.
And that is exactly what user "raponq" managed to do, guessing that it will be Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg with 348 kills, so even though around 200 other users also guessed the player correctly, there was no random draw and the prize will go directly to the Bulgarian user.
"Guess the top fragger of Cph Games" winner:
raponq (Winning post) - SteelSeries Siberia v2
In our "Guess the winner" contest you not only needed to guess who will take the title, but also who will be the winner's opponent in the final of the main tournament. It turned out to be a difficult task as only 36 out of more than 1,500 entries correctly predicted that we will have a repeat of the Mad Catz Vienna final - NiP over Western Wolves.
We randomized the list containing those 36 entries and then drew a lucky winner.
"Guess the winner of Cph Games" winner:
amark (Winning post) - SteelSeries Sensei [RAW]
We had a similar competition for the female tournament, "Guess the winner.fe", where it was only needed to correctly predict which team will come out on top. That ended up being a too easy of a task as over half of the 1000+ entries posted that ALTERNATE will win the tournament.
Using the same process as above, but with 551 contestants in the pool, we drew the lucky winner of SteelSeries Siberia v2.
"Guess the winner of Cph Games.fe" winner:
HLPV (Winning post) - SteelSeries Siberia v2
Lastly, we gave you all a final chance to participate without the need to guess or do anything correctly by simply sharing/retweeting our Facebook/Twitter post in our final competition.
Facebook contest winner:
Mikolaj Piechocki - SteelSeries Sensei [RAW]
Twitter contest winner:
@dahuggasystem - SteelSeries Siberia v2
All winners have been contacted through our website's private messaging system, or through Facebook and Twitter, and they are expected to reply within 2 weeks with their shipping info.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone for participating, we hope these competitions made the tournament a little more interesting for you to follow. Stay tuned to HLTV.org for the best CS:GO coverage out there.
